Join Adrien Lawyer, Director of Education and Co-Founder of the Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico, for an engaging and practical introduction to transgender cultural fluency.

This training provides a foundation for understanding what it means to be transgender and how to build more informed, respectful, and inclusive communities. Participants will explore:

  • Common terminology and vocabulary related to gender identity
  • Common misconceptions about transgender people and how to address them
  • The experiences and challenges faced by transgender communities
  • Practical ways to communicate with greater understanding and respect
  • How to become a stronger, more informed, and engaged advocate for transgender people

Whether you are new to these conversations or looking to deepen your understanding, this training offers an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and build the knowledge and confidence needed to support transgender people in meaningful ways.

Refreshments will be provided.

Facilitated by Adrien Lawyer, Director of Education and Co-Founder of the Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico.
