Join the New Mexico History Museum and the Human Rights Alliance for a panel discussion featuring members of Santa Fe’s LGBTQ+ community who will talk about the formative and tumultuous years of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The panelists have personal experiences of resilience: living through social stigma and legal discrimination, surviving the HIV/AIDS crisis, observing and navigating Santa Fe’s unique local scene, being creative and creating opportunities, and witnessing, organizing, or participating in early activism, leading up to the first Santa Fe Pride in 1988 and the formation of the Human Rights Alliance in 1993.
